Member Eligibility

We cannot be responsible for content submitted by you. We cannot guarantee the reliability of content presented on our site that has been submitted by other members. Please use and view content at your own risk.

Any content you submit, post, or display subject to our privacy policy grants us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, sell, publish, or distribute said content by any medium. By agreeing to these terms, you give us the authority to reproduce your submitted content, including but not limited to questions and problem sets, in various media for sale to consumers and businesses royalty-free and without consent. You may retain the right to use your own submitted material for distribution or sale in conjunction with the rights granted to MendelSet as mentioned in these terms. We reserve the right to review content before posting it to our site. By submitting content to our site, you grant us the right to alter that content in any way, including but not limited to publishing, editing, or deleting said content. We do not review all information posted on our site.

Any content that you remove may be retained on our servers for a period of time. Information you remove may also remain with our backup data for an indefinite amount of time. Backups help maintain the site in case of lost data.

User Restrictions and Safe Usage

We strive to make MendelSet safe and secure. Like all activity conducted on the Internet, we cannot guarantee the safety of information passed to our site by the user. Please use a secure password and do not share your password with others.

Abuse of MendelSet will not be tolerated and may result in deleted information and/or removal of membership from our site. Abuse may include but not limit to using our site for unauthorized commercial purposes e.g. spam, collection of site data for unauthorized commercial or malicious purposes, upload of malicious software, falsifying information, accessing or attempting to access data on the site you are not authorized to access, harassment of other members, publication of hateful or lewd content, use of the site that is counter to the intent or spirit of MendelSet. We have sole discretion to determine whether a user or content is abusing our site. We reserve the right to remove any user or content or delete data that is related to the user or content permanently from our servers, for any reason.

When you become a member, you are required to provide a publicly viewed username. Usernames may be reclaimed for use of another member if you ask for your membership to be removed or we remove your membership. Any username containing inappropriate or lewd wording may be removed and we may remove all personal data associated with the user. Usernames submitted that conflict with functions on MendelSet or site addresses, uniform resource locator (URLs), may be removed to avoid further conflicts.

Due to the uncertainty of data storage, we cannot guarantee the longevity of content you provide on our site. Please do not depend on MendelSet as a means for backing up your data or information. Your data may be permanently deleted on our servers.

Do not use MendelSet in a manner that violates the rights of other users or violates federal or local law. Any such action will be construed as abuse of the terms, and may be subject to disciplinary action such as user removal or permanent deletion of the abusive content.

MendelSet is not affiliated with any textbook publisher, school of higher learning (any designated secondary school, college or university), or any third-party vendor. Members are solely responsible for all opinion, commentary, or any other information posted on MendelSet. This information is subject to the MendelSet terms and privacy policy. Textbook covers, authors, and chapter information are used for reference only and does not indicate the originator's endorsement of this site.
